Beads are rough finished on the inside and may have dust/dirt from carving and tooling. They will also have imperfections from being hand worked, making every bead unique with its own personality. Many are tea dyed and will lose color over time if exposed to hair washing too often.  Avoid wearing in the shower or swimming to maintain color. The natural color beads are safe to wear full time as they have no dyes that can fade
